It then talks about the Concordia Summit that was held in September. This two-day summit brought together various industries to talk about discussions turning into “actions”. Mr. Vijay Eswaran shares his insight about investment, education, and the important roles for businesswomen in Asia.

He goes on to talk about the education system in Asian countries and their flaws. He states that there is a “disconnect” in the education system. In response to this “disconnect” he and his company, QI Group, created an initiative to focus on “empowering students, especially women” to “change lives”. His vision consisted of building and creating a university to rid the “disconnect” in education throughout Asia.

In another globally known and critically important summit, The World Economic Forum was also held in September. Annually held, this particular summit focused on women and the workforce. The goal for this summit was to globally create an initiative specifically focusing on “participation, leadership development, and education” of women in the workforce. Some of the organizations involved were SheTrades, Unstereotype Alliance, and the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council to just mention a few. Collectively, the summit collaborates leaders in organizations, companies, academics, and government. With over “700 leaders from 70 different countries,” this summit holds critical importance in the future of women in the workforce as well as women entrepreneurs.
